Scratch Stratford. See you in Toronto. The drink offer still stands.

  8. Also note that Alessandro will be lecturing and performing at “EuCue xxvii”, and that his performance at least will be webcast.

You can’t put URLs in here, apparently, so add an http to this

    to get the webcast link

I don’t know if the lecture will be webcast, though.

  9. Francesca says:

I sent an email to the Arcade Fire. I told them you should be their opening act …or an alternate band member. I may have also sent emails to Muse, Franz Ferdinand and Snow Patrol. Oh…don’t be mad at me Alessandro.
    Your unofficial promoter

  10. Graeme says:

Wow, great to hear that you’re playing in Guelph…so close to me for a change lol.

I will definitely get you a drink…it’d be great to talk to ya.

  12. Boots says:

Has Blind Old Freak played LA yet? I missed ModWheelMood last time also, any news on them playing LA anytime?

  13. Disturbed says:

    You turn up your stereo
    Sitting in your studio
    A room with a view
    You have so much talent
I think that you were meant
    For fame and bliss too
    And like a beautiful flower
You have so much subtle power
    It coalesces through
    I look at your eyes
    And they hypnotize
    But what can I do?
    And if I get tearful
    Your songs make me cheerful
    Whenever I am blue
    I can’t explain
    It’s so insane
    I really, really love you

  14. guilty says:

Looks like I won’t be able to make it to the Eastern Canadian tour dates, but trying to get all my friends out to the gigs. They carry my support 😉

Any new recording/tracks ready to go right now? Would love to hear some new soundclouds / vimeo if you have anything up and ready. Thanks A.

Have an awesome time in Canada in T-minus 3 days! 😀

  15. Jayce says:

I would love to go but unfortunately Im a lowly Australian.

Although, you can come out here???

  16. heytheredelilah says:

I love you Ally, but it doesn’t matter.
    I’m just me.

  17. al says:

wow this is such a random series of shows!? it is crazy that you are playing the avante garde and the drake! I’ve got some friends in those cities making them aware. Is this the precursor to a US tour or just a random tour? I’ll make it to the drake for sure!!!

  18. Frusciante says:

Does this mean modwheelmood is done? Or is it on hiatus?

  19. Renita says:

Can’t wait until you come out to Western Canada, Alessandro 😀 I hope everything goes smoothly until then (well and after then, but well you know) 🙂

  20. the_fragile says:

Hey Ally, I just wanted to say thanks for the performance tonight at Concordia. I really enjoy your music… it’s so deep! I can’t wait to see your performance in Quebec City.
Thank you for the pictures too, especially the one with the beanie! 😉

  21. guilty says:

A whole group of us caught the web cast of your performance at Concordia last night.

We were all so happy to listen to your new stuff (and a very careful listener caught on that one of the pieces performed was derived from a soundcloud piece!)

We were on twitter, giving play-by-play commentary (much like a Canadian hockey game) during the broadcast. No worries: I think we were all so thrilled with just having a chance to listen to it, it was all very positive feedback!

    The link below:

Hopefully we might be allowed to have a listen to the lecture you gave earlier as well.

Thank you so very much for giving us a wonderful and awesome performance!

Have fun and good luck on the start of your tour 😀

  22. orestes says:

Quote: “apparently i ought *not* to make comments at 3 in the morning that i cannot erase ”

Tell me about it. Don’t we all wish we could undo the crazy things we’ve done?

  27. brandon says:

Alessandro, will you play any dates on the west coast of Canada? BC and Alberta?

  28. Andrew says:

    Awesome performance tonight, thanks again.

-Guy that wasn’t sure if he had $30 for the merch at the end, when you were packing up/when you couldn’t find the small shirts and tried re-organizing them. Hehe.

  29. imnotthere says:

It was me. I did it. I’m the guilty one.

  30. the_fragile says:

Hey people, I put some links on youtube for the performance in Montreal (01-30-09). to access them the easy way, find my account (same name), and check my youtube. I tried to post the links here but it wouldn’t work. I’ll re-post them soon with the edited sound.

Ally, I took a bunch of pictures at Concordia and in Quebec, some turned out nice, and Gab wanted to have them so you can ask him if you want them as well.

I hope the audience at your other shows will show more respect to your art and to those who want to listen to it, and also that you won’t get any other flat tires on our bumpy, cold and snowy Canadian roads.

  31. Mousart says:

    I missed your show Ale 🙁 but I hope we’ll see soon… Who knows ? 😉

  32. Fran says:
